Having your templates stored within your PowerPro database is highly recommended (and a requirement for PowerPro Sky clients). It eliminates the need to share folders across the network and avoids issues surrounding access, file permissions, and network mapping, etc.

Using Template Manager also means the templates are automatically backed up whenever the PowerPro database undergoes a backup.

You will need to access the application options to follow this guide, as shown below.

1. Get templates location

In the 'Application Options' > 'Templates' tab, identify where the current templates are located. Make a note of this, a screenshot would be easiest (as below).

2. Get M2M location

In the 'Application Options' > 'USI' tab, identify where the current M2M credential is stored. Again a screenshot is easiest. (as below)

3. Enable Template Manager. Restart PowerPro following this.

In the 'Application Options' > 'Templates' tab, enable 'Template Manager' as below. Restart PowerPro for this to take effect.

4. Create backup of templates & M2M file before next step

It is a good idea to create a backup of all your templates & your M2M credential before proceeding, just in case something goes wrong, as when templates are imported, it will remove the original copy for you. (You can simply 'copy' and 'paste' the entire Templates folder and your M2M key file to a separate folder/directory)

5. Upload templates and M2M file

Browse to the Template Manager(1)(2) and upload existing templates into the respective areas. This is done most simply by dragging and dropping the files into the (3) area. Please remember that each template type, will need to be dropped onto its designated tab, so that it functions properly within PowerPro (See screen shot '5' below)
